This weekend we reflect on what we are thankful for and enjoy our time with family, plentiful food and good cheer. Let’s also take a moment to think of those who are not as fortunate. On Monday, November 27th begins AmPark’s Annual Food Drive in support of our local community.
From November 27 – December 8 you can help support POTS – a local food pantry. This year alone, there are 25,000 people – including 8,000 children – who will turn to POTS for help. With less than 20% of support provided by government sources, it will be impossible to meet their needs without the generous help of many. Everyone has something to give –all contributions are valued and appreciated. Continue reading Food Drive begins next week!
Thank you to everyone for pulling together to raise funds AND awareness for this incredible charity!
AmPark is collecting donations for victims of recent disasters. See our flyer here.
Donations can be dropped off beginning Friday, October 13th at our Halloween Costume Party or any day in the lobby through October 27th at morning drop-off. All donated items must be non-perishable, not second-hand, and not contain liquids of any kind. Open or unsealed donations of food or hygiene supplies won’t be accepted. Fall 2017 WonderWalk Campaign
WonderWalk provides elementary school students the chance to help the March of Dimes give all babies a healthy start. A mini-walk on school grounds, WonderWalk is a fun, safe, educational and rewarding way for students to have a first time experience making a difference in their community.
Students are encouraged to pick someone special to walk for such as a baby brother or sister or someone who is expecting a baby. They raise money by asking friends and family to make donations in order to help them reach their goals. AmPark’s fundraising goal this year is $1,000 – the student which raises the most will have lunch with the administration! You should have all received the sponsor envelopes yesterday so your children can begin making a difference for this important cause. Encourage your children to make signs to carry with them during the walk – especially if they were premature themselves! Continue reading WonderWalk: Walking Together for Stronger, Healthier Babies
