Donations can be dropped off beginning Friday, October 13th at our Halloween Costume Party or any day in the lobby through October 27th at morning drop-off. All donated items must be non-perishable, not second-hand, and not contain liquids of any kind. Open or unsealed donations of food or hygiene supplies won’t be accepted. Thursday, October 19th at 12noon AmPark will be joining in on the “crunch heard ’round the world!” Big Apple Crunch is a way to celebrate food and get New Yorkers thinking about healthy, seasonal, local eating.
Parents, please send in 2-3 apples with your child as a contribution to this healthy initiative!

The Festival of Books/El Festival del Libro is taking place Friday, September 15th, 2017 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM. In an effort to try and dispel the myths that Bronxites are not readers and to try and put more books in the hands of our community members, this event is taking place here in our District. Roads to Success will be hosting a summer camp on the Upper West Side in Manhattan this summer, at P.S. 166, 132 West 89th Street, from July 5th-August 12.
Prices are as follows:
- 2 Weeks: $800
- 3 Weeks: $1200
- 4 Weeks: $1600
- 5 Weeks: $2000
- 6 Weeks: $2150
Activities will include: Swimming, Field Trips, Sports/Teambuilding, Arts, and Outdoor Adventure.

The Parks Department begins its online lottery for all summer swimming sessions on Wednesday, June 15. The lottery for the first session, which runs Wednesday, July 6-Wednesday, July 20, ends at 11:59pm on Sunday, June 26. Results will be emailed by Tuesday, June 28. Below are the programs that will be on offer. Locations and schedule info are available on the registration page.

Apply now to STEM Summer in the City, a free program designed to provide current 2nd – 10th graders the opportunity for an innovative, engaging, and fun summer learning program designed specifically around science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). In addition to weekly STEM challenges, involving coding & game design, developing engineering solutions and inventing with robotics, the program also includes enrichment opportunities in the Arts, Physical Education and includes trips to NYC cultural institutions.
