Many of you have heard by now that I am retiring at the end of the summer. I cherish my five years at AmPark. Serving you and your wonderful children has been an honor. I couldn’t have chosen a better place to spend my final years as an administrator.
It won’t be good-bye, because I live only 10 minutes away –
All the best,
Part of our Science Fair involves the selection of a few projects to present at the citywide science fair in June. Here are the honorees:
Rosalind Douglass and Isabella Bryant (Mysterious DNA Project); & Bronson Branch (Fruit Power/Electricity Project)
Congratulations to all our scientists for participating in the Annual Science Fair! It was very well attended! There were many wonderful projects on display and 4 budding scientists were chosen to move onto the NYC Science Expo! Very exciting! Thanks to all the parents/guardians who came and provided support! We appreciate you! Special thanks to Matt Heenan and the American Museum of Natural History for providing admission tickets. The lucky raffle winner was Penelope from Katie’s class.
Here’s the schedule:
Monday: Send in a single flower to your teacher – and don’t forget our wonderful team of non-classroom teachers and paras, too! We will serve all staff breakfast today.
Tuesday: Send your child dressed in their teacher’s favorite color! (info will be sent by class parents)

AmPark’s Shoe Drive was extended and ends tomorrow!
Not only does this shoe drive repurpose shoes, but for every pair of shoes our school collects, we will earn 25 cents per pound. Good for our Earth! Good for our school!
300 million pairs of shoes end up in landfills each year. Wearable Collections is committed to extending the life of your shoes and making sure those in underserved communities have access to quality, affordable footwear.
