The kids had a great time celebrating Red Nose Day on May 26. Red Nose Day is a campaign dedicated to helping children and having fun. The money raised for the Red Nose Day Fund in 2016 will go to charities working on the ground to deliver basic needs to children in the U.S. and in some of the poorest communities in the world.

Apply now to STEM Summer in the City, a free program designed to provide current 2nd – 10th graders the opportunity for an innovative, engaging, and fun summer learning program designed specifically around science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). In addition to weekly STEM challenges, involving coding & game design, developing engineering solutions and inventing with robotics, the program also includes enrichment opportunities in the Arts, Physical Education and includes trips to NYC cultural institutions. The AmPark PA Nominating Committee met May 10th and discussed the guidelines required for the PA’s May 25th election. All officer positions in the AmPark PA are for a one-year term in accordance with the Chancellor’s Regulations. All officer positions are open for nominees in our 2016-2017 term. President/Co-President, Secretary, Treasurer, VP Parent Involvement, and VP Fundraising are all available to take nominations!
This is service for our children and an opportunity for parents!
A functioning PA is an administrative requirement of the New York City public school system. Serving on the AmPark PA while your child attends public school is an opportunity! We are asking parents to contribute one item toward a class theme basket, to be part of the silent auction at our May 20th event. All items should be dropped off at school by Friday, May 13. The themes for the baskets are below by grade:

- 2nd grade: Birds
- 3rd grade: Super Heroes
- 4th grade: Summer Fun
